Announcements / Ideas for new games?

Any1 got any ideas for new games, everything has pretty much been done. I need something original to keep me interested. In new game I mean, completely new style.
I was thinking something like, the player is a bullet and he has to direct him/herself towards a target whilst dodging obsticles. But I guess that has already done kind of.

I am thinking something like the player is something different like an object and he has too solve puzzles in order to reach a goal.

I would like to say what I've been up to with game dev in the last few weeks, I have ditched the platformer idea as it was not going anywhere. I am currently working on a modification for the fps kit that I used to start the fps. I am making it with most features like battlefield and call of duty. I have decided to ditch all the other games for now untill further notice to work on a battlefield like game (or like warrock for you befreak :) ). It will just be survival untill I have money to get unity pro and get some servers to host multiplayer, which will take a while...

I still need a person who can texture well who would be willing to work for free and entitled to any future revenue made. All people who contribute to the game will be entitled, so far the contributers are: OcularCash (some scripts), befreak (doing what he does :) ), no1997 (some models and maybe some music), and me of course for managing and putting it all together.

Some of these people are just helping out and not a permanent asset to the team.

P.s. befreak, see if any of your friends can make textures, music, scripts, models ect. Maybe even your friends from warrock (I'm sure you have some).

I realised that I am not going to be able to get a multiplayer game without some cash, some I'm going to start making some games just to earn a little money. The first one is going to be a speedboat game where you can collect coins, race other npc boats ect ect... If you help I will split the money made. I will post on the mac app store for free with optional in app purchases.

Hey, I got back from holiday yesterday just to let you know.
Im going to continue the project as soon as possible, at the moment I'm currently researching how large boats turn. If you could help then please say. If you are not busy I will need a dock/port made. If you look here

I'm just going to post some of my ideas for the new game, please post your ideas below.

Player will start off in the first person at a harbour, players will then climb aboard the boat and get to the apropriate role. They have the option to go to the bridge and drive the boat only two players,  to go to the turrets, placed around the ship, go to the armoury and get a sniper or a diving suit. Games will last a minimum of 10 mins. As the game becomes more popular there will be fleets and maybe aircraft and submarines, but basicly it's going to become a navy war type game.

Post your ideas below, the above is just what I'm planning. If you have any suggestions please post below.

I will be restarting the project tomorrow, it will include some basic guns, a map, better gun scripts, and just overall much better. it will also be a smaller file size, the last one was way to big. if any of you have friends that have talents in a certain area please tell me about them. thats all for now, i would also like to see more activity from you guys on the forums. The first beta should be ready by september. I will be posting pics of the progress from now on, please keep searching for gun models and thinking up story lines.

p.s. I'm back from devon, had a great time :)

Announcements / Chapter 1 first draft

Here is what I have wrote for the first draft oF chapter 1, it is very complex and took around 10 mins to write. There are 6 missions so far. It is very long. Please post suggestions for names and stuff. Befreak, you can help with chapter 2 if you like

Level 1 for game

Starts with cut scene of player making robot, robot comes to life and hits him into a wall then runs up stairs and runs off into the bushes.

Player starts with no weapons. He then says that he is going to have to fight his way to his boat to get more weapons and research papers. 

Mission one, drive the car to the boat without crashing the car.

When player arrives, there is a robot there already player has to kill by a headshot. Once robot is dead the player has to search the boat for research papers and more guns.

When retrieved papers, player needs to drive back to the house.
Cutscene: player spreads papers on table and begins to read, after a minute of reading a robot smashes through the window and rips half the paper off him then runs down hill.

Mission 2: follow that robot!
Player has to follow the robot to where it go's (abandoned camp on island) then has to kill it without player being detected. If player is detected and kills player, 10 more harder to kill robots appear and begin to attack. If player dies mission failed. After recovered the papers head back to the hideout and place them together
Cutscene: player reading papers out loud which reveals a way to kill all the robots on the island and that the robots will continue to reproduce until the mother of robots is dead (the original in the Cutscene).

Mission 3: the hunt for the mother
A satellite scan of the island reveals the mother is hiding out in a secret robot camp (to be decided location later). Player decides so go to this camp but later realises that it is surrounded by robots and is impossible to breach. Nevertheless the player attempts anyway, (no matter what player controller does he will always fail) and is supposedly dead.
Cutscene: Starts with black screen, player opens eyes and closes again the opens. He sees bare human feet and realises he isn't dead. He then grabs on to hand and is helped up. He asks his rescuer who she is, she says she is from Canada and her boat crashed on this island and that she is the only survivor of the crash. The rest were eaten by robots. They then return to hideout and start talking about destroying all the robots. Player explains to woman that all robots a linked through the mother of all the robots and that killing her will destroy them all.

Mission 4: Red lights
(nighttime) player sees small red lights outside the window and decides to investigate with his new partner. When they get to where they believe the lights were a small creature like robot jumps on to players face. After pulling it off and stamping on it he sees a note attached. It reads: if you are reading this you are human, we are the last of the survivors of the robot attacks on our island meet us at (position). Player must go to the which plays Cutscene with the note writer.
The writer of the note reveals that player was not the creator of the robots, they were sent here from space to take over the earth, who ever sent the robots didn't realise the size of the people of earth and that it had vast oceans. The robots are realy tiny. The robots thought that this island was the whole of earth and decided to pick off our tribe one by one by crawling up our noses while we slept. It wasn't until your invention of the humanoid robot when they got more powerful. One of the tiny robots became a part of your invention and then Started multiplying. The only way to kill them now is by killing either the sender of the robots or the mother of them all. That's the one you created.

Mission 5: MOAR (mother of all robots)
Player must sneak into robot base by using helicopter and parachuting in to kill the MOAR. Player uses silenced gun and needs to kill each robot with one shot to the head. If a robot sees the player he will start to attack with a minigun, which will almost certainly cause the player to die. Player can pick up minigun if he kills a robot with one. Once he reaches chamber where MOAR is. He thinks there is nothing there other than a small podium in the centre of the room. Cutscene: tiny bug jumps up and scurries out the door.

Mission 6: The first sign of the apocalypse.
While player is chasing the MOAR, he catches a glimpse of what appears to be robots building a nuclear bomb. Player then realises that destroying the robots on the island isn't his first priority. Things start to heat up. In a rage the player kills all the robots working on the bomb and sets off the alams. Player must shoot his way out of the robot base and return to the note writer
